CUT IT OUT

Three important skills that children learn by using scissors:
  1. Using scissors builds fine motor skills. With the opening and closing motion of cutting, it allows children to develop the small muscles in their hands

  2. Using scissors requires the child to use both the right and left hand at the same time. One hand does the cutting, while the other hand manipulates the paper. This is an essential skill children must learn

  3. Helps develop hand eye coordination. This is developed when you use your hand and eyes together in unison, which is an important part of cutting.

The benefits of coloring
  1. Children need hand strength and dexterity to use a pencil on paper. Activities such as coloring pages will help them learn how to hold the writing tool the correct way, therefore, improving handwriting

  2. When coloring, basic coordination skills such as, the proper way to hold the crayon and deciding which color to use, can help your child in many different ways. Coloring shapes requires the child to color within a specific area. This helps them to develop hand eye coordination.

  3. Coloring can help your child  learn the skill of patience. It allows the child to be relaxed and comfortable while creating a piece of art
